Statement of values

Primary Values

1. Evangelism, especially through the Alpha Course is one of our primary values.

2. Encouraging others is one of our primary values.

3. Accepting others, no matter what their background, is one of our primary values.

4. Delegation, especially by those with leadership responsibilities is one of our primary values.

Other Values

1.      Regular attendance at Holy Communion for all ages.

2.      Each of the different traditions and worship patterns encouraged at St Denys are of equal value

3.      Ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit exercised by ordinary members of the congregation.

4.      The use and encouragement of the gifts of the Spirit (prophecy, words of knowledge etc.) by ordinary members of the congregation.

The Diary

In order to make it possible to use time as economically as possible

1. All business and administrative meetings will take place on Monday evenings.

2. All evening home groups will take place on Tuesday or Thursday evenings.

3. The Alpha course will take place on Wednesday evenings

4. As far as is possible no meetings or activities will take place on Friday or Saturday evenings.

5. No one should be involved in church activities more than three evenings in a week and preferably less.
